Transcript Land supports a wide range of common audio and video formats to ensure that your recordings can be easily converted to text. Our customers use files such as:

  • Audio: aac, mp3, m4a, wav, wma, flac.
  • Video: avi, mov, mp4, mkv, wmv.

The maximum size per file is 2GB, ensuring compatibility with longer or high-quality recordings.

How does the transcription process work?

The transcription process with Transcript Land is simple and efficient:

  1. Upload your audio or video file to our platform.
  2. Our system will automatically process your file.
  3. You'll receive a notification once the transcription is complete.
  4. You can download your transcription in RTF format.
How accurate are your transcriptions?

Our automatic transcription technology typically achieves an accuracy of over 95% for good quality recordings. To further improve accuracy, it's recommended to have a clear recording without excessive background noise.

Using the service

Can I use Transcript Land directly from my smartphone?

Yes, you can use Transcript Land directly from your smartphone. Log in to your account and import a pre-recorded audio file.

If the audio excerpt was recorded using the Voice Memos app (on iPhone), first export your audio excerpt to be transcribed from the Voice Memos app using the "Save to Files" function. Then in the Transcript Land application, select "Import file" and navigate to the location where the recording was exported.

What are timecodes (timestamps) used for?

Timecodes indicate the exact moment when each part of the text is spoken in the recording. They are useful for easily navigating between the text and the original audio.

This feature is particularly appreciated by researchers, journalists, and professionals who need to verify precise quotes or quickly find specific passages in their recordings.

How can I improve the quality of my transcriptions?

To get the best transcription results, here are some tips:

  • Use a good quality microphone when recording.
  • Avoid excessive background noise.
  • Speak clearly and at a steady pace.
  • For specific terms or proper names, we're working on adding a custom vocabulary feature (coming soon).

Pricing and payment

How does pricing work?

Our pricing is based on the duration of your files. We offer a standard rate of €12 per hour of recording.

Files are billed by the minute, rounded up to the next minute. For example, a file of 10 minutes and 15 seconds will be billed as 11 minutes.

Do you offer packages or volume-based pricing?

Yes, we offer credit packages that allow you to save money:

  • 10-hour package: Enjoy a 25% discount on the standard rate. This package costs you €90 instead of €120.

For businesses with larger needs, we offer customized rates. Contact us to get an offer tailored to your needs.

How can I purchase a credit package?

To purchase a credit package, log in to your Transcript Land account and go to the "Buy Credit" section. There you'll find options for different packages. Select the package that suits you and proceed with payment. The credit will be immediately added to your account and you can use it for your future transcriptions.

Does credit purchased in packages have an expiration date?

No, credit purchased through our packages does not have an expiration date. You can use it whenever you want, without time constraints. This is one of the advantages of our flexible system, designed to adapt to your needs.

Security and privacy

Is my data safe with Transcript Land?

The security of your data is a priority for Transcript Land. As a Swiss transcription service, we adhere to the strictest data protection standards, including encryption of files during transfer and storage.

Your files are automatically deleted after 30 days to protect your privacy. However, you can manually delete them at any time if you no longer need them.
